"Naples Big Cypress Market Place Under Way in Eastern Collier County"
Basik Development has commenced construction on its latest commercial project, The Naples Big Cypress Market Place (The Market Place).
The Market Place, located four miles east of Collier Blvd. on US 41 East, will be a 87,000 square-foot air-conditioned shopping and entertainment venue comprising 300 booths and kiosks that will allow vendors to sell a variety of goods and services to the public.
In addition to the shopping area, The Market Place will also include a 20,000 square-foot arena which will feature a food court, a second-floor mezzanine overlooking the Market, and entertainment area for special events.
The special events will be held during normal business hours of operation (Friday-Sunday), as well as at night. Outside groups or individuals will have opportunity to rent out the areas area for private functions.
A one year lease is required for vendors with rents ranging from $350 - $550 per month.
Keith Basik, president of Basik Development, said that one of the most important aspects of having the The Market Place succeed is to create an ongoing atmosphere of excitement and interest. "We feel that with the ongoing arena activities, having a variety of quality and diversified vendors, and offering consumers a unique shopping atmosphere, we will attract shoppers on a year round basis to The Market Place."
Basik Development has already begun working with various members of the community to assist them in incorporating many aspects of the Naples culture and history into the overall theme of the building.
"Since there is abundance of unique and interesting history in our immediate area, from the building of Tamiami Trail to the Seminole Indians and the Everglades, we wanted to highlight it in The Market Place," Basik said.
